Challenge
Field engineers need to prove when and where a photo was taken on site, but standard photos carry no reliable record of this. Your challenge is to design an Android plugin that overlays secure date, time, and GPS watermarks directly onto captured photos.

- How can mobile applications make field documentation more reliable and verifiable for telecom engineers?
- You will build an Android plugin that captures photos and permanently overlays location and time data on them.
Activities & expected output
- Analyze the field workflow of telecom engineers and identify the main documentation requirements
- Research Android technologies related to GPS/location services, camera access, and image processing
- Build a photo capture plugin that overlays date (DD/MM/YYYY), time (HH:MM:SS), latitude, longitude, and GPS accuracy (in meters) on the saved image
- Ensure the watermark is rendered directly on the image and cannot be removed by simple editing
- Build a settings screen allowing users to independently enable/disable each watermark element
- Implement a notification and “N/A” fallback for fields when GPS signal is unavailable
- Test the plugin using realistic field scenarios
- Prepare technical documentation and present the final solution
