ESSMA (the European Stadium & Safety Management Association) is a nonprofit network for stadium professionals across Europe that connects clubs, venues and industry experts to share best practices in stadium operations, safety, sustainability, fan experience and pitch management. It organises workshops, events and an annual summit and provides members with data, insights and strategic support on stadium development and management

Challenge

ESSMA connects sport management schools, students, and industry across Europe. They want more members who are active, engaged, and proud to be part of the network. ESSMA has great schools and members, but not everyone across Europe knows about it or feels connected. Your task is to help ESSMA activate current members and attract new ones by understanding what motivates students and partners in different countries.


Core question & where you will work on
• How can ESSMA make its membership feel relevant and exciting across different regions?
• You will explore member needs, cultural differences, and creative ways to invite new members to join and engage.


Activities & expected output
• Talk to current members (real or simulated) and research what makes ESSMA valuable to them
• Design ideas for targeted activation and outreach campaigns for specific countries
• Use creative thinking and basic research skills to propose clear, people-centric solutions
