Welcome to Elev8, part of the E³UDRES² Talent Funnel. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the Elev8 mobile app and related services.
We respect your privacy and comply fully with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) and relevant national data-protection laws.

UCLL acts as the data controller for Elev8.
If the app is used within another partner institution of E³UDRES², that institution may also act as a joint controller for specific user groups.

What Data We Collect
Account data
- Name, email address, and password (for account creation and login).
- You can sign in using your student email address provided by your university or with a personal email address of your choice.
- Profile information you choose to share (e.g., photo, skills, career interests, values).
Usage Data
- App activity logs (when you use Insights, Boost modules, or Matching).
- Device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and performance metrics.
Optional Data
- Feedback you submit through forms or email.
- Survey responses or participation in co-creation events.
- Analytics data from anonymised cookies (if accepted).
We do not collect special categories of personal data (such as health, ethnic origin, political views) and do not use your data for automated marketing or profiling outside the app’s core functions.

How We Share Your Data
Your data may be shared only with:
- E³UDRES² partner universities that co-operate in providing the Elev8 service.
- Trusted technical providers (e.g., secure cloud hosting, analytics tools) under GDPR-compliant data-processing agreements.
- Regulatory authorities if required by law.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Data Retention
- Account data is kept for as long as your account is active.
- If you delete your account, all personal data is erased within 30 days.
- Anonymised usage statistics may be kept for research and reporting up to 36 months.
Your Rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access your data and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and data (“right to erasure”).
- Limit or object to processing in certain cases.
- Export your data (“data portability”).Withdraw consent at any time.

Children and Minors
Elev8 is intended for students aged 16 and above.
If you are under 16, you should use the app only with parental consent or under your school’s supervision.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
International Funding and Research Context
Elev8 is part of the EU-funded E³UDRES² project, coordinated by UCLL and partner universities.
For evaluation and reporting purposes, only aggregated and anonymised data may be used to demonstrate impact (e.g., number of users per region, average engagement).
This never includes personally identifiable information.

We will notify users in-app or by email if major changes occur.
Compliant App & Google store
Elev8 is fully compliant with the Apple App Store and Google Play privacy requirements.
Users can access this policy via the link listed in both store listings and within the app’s Settings → Privacy section.
